Apple Releases Fourth Beta of iOS 11.2, tvOS 11.2, and watchOS 4.2 for Testing
One day after releasing the macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 Beta 4 update to developers, Apple today updated the betas for its upcoming iOS 11.2, tvOS 11.2, and watchOS 4.2 operating systems to beta 4.
The iOS 11.2 beta 4 (15C5110b), tvOS 11.2 beta 4 (15K102a), and watchOS 4.2 beta 4 (15S5102b) builds are now available for download on your devices, no matter if you’re a registered application developer or a public beta tester. Apple released all these betas today to everyone who wants to install them.
The release notes published by Apple only show information on various fixes and known issues that landed in these new betas, so there’s no other info on what else the beta 4 builds bring to the table besides what we knew so far from the previous updates. Most probably Apple patched some security issues too.
iOS 11.2, macOS 10.13.2, tvOS 11.2, and watchOS 4.2 coming soon
It won’t be long now until everyone can install the iOS 11.2, macOS 10.13.2, tvOS 11.2, and watchOS 4.2 software updates on their iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Watch devices, as it looks like Apple is in a hurry to finish their development, now that it released two beta versions in a single week.
If you’re brave enough to run the iOS 11.2, macOS 10.13.2, tvOS 11.2, and watchOS 4.2 betas on your devices, don’t hesitate to install the fourth one released today as it may just improve the performance, and, for iOS, we hope this beta fixes those battery drain issues we experimented with the beta 3.
With these upcoming updates, Apple plans to bring us more features and performance improvements. These include Apple Pay Cash for iMessages on iOS 11.2, introductory pricing for auto-renewable subscriptions on both iOS 11.2 and macOS 10.13.2, as well as new device management features for macOS High Sierra.
Those of you who don’t want to use the beta versions of Apple’s operating systems on your devices, you should instead update to the latest iOS 11.1.2 software that Apple published the other day, especially if you’re using an iPhone X as it fixes those screen responsiveness issues in cold weather and other bugs.
