LeBron James’ Halloween Party for the Cleveland Cavs — PICS

This is the first of four meetings between the Cavaliers and the Heat during the 2016-17 NBA Season, but it will be months before these two teams meet again. After this match, they’ll go nearly four months before clashing again, meeting in March 2017. They’ll actually nearly close out the season together, with Cleveland second-to-last game taking place in Miami on April 10, 2017.

Sadly, this clash isn’t as epic as it used to be. With Dwyane Wade, 34, in Chicago and Chris Bosh on the sidelines due to health reasons, the Heat aren’t the fearsome team that won back-to-back NBA Championships. The problem, according to Hashtag Basketball, is that the Heat can’t seem to find any consistency on offense. Dion Waiters, 24, before he was injured, was “up and down,” which is why they come into this game with more losses than wins.

As for LeBron and his crew, they’re still stinging from an unusual three-game losing stream. Sure, they snapped it by defeating the Toronto Raptors, 116-112, but the fact that they dropped a trio of games was a wake-up call for the Cavaliers. LeBron dropped 34 points, the highest he’s reached so far in the season, with Kevin Love, 28going for 28.

The win might have cost the Cavs, as J.R. Smith, 31, left the game early due to the lingering issues in his left knee, per ESPN. With J.R. finally having to deal with it, will his absence doom send the Cavs back to their losing ways? Or will Kyrie Irving, 24, and the rest of the team get back to their dominating ways?
