ASUS DSL-AC68 Routers Get a New Firmware – Download Version 3.0.0.4.380.7361

ASUS has rolled out a new firmware package compatible with its DSL-AC68U and DSL-AC68R wireless router, namely version 3.0.0.4.380.7361, which removes a few weak SSH ciphers, adds setting source IP in port forwarding rule, and more.

Specifically speaking, this update improves CSRF protection on the login page, removes unnecessary contents in some XML endpoints, enhances G.INP control for UK ISP Sky Broadband, and fixes Smart Sync-related issues.

In addition to that, build 380.7361 enhances cross domain request protection, corrects the wrong WAN configuration in some cases, improves Chrome compatibility, and fixes MAC clone problems via HTTPS, broken redirect links, and sleep mode entrance.

Regarding installation, just save and unzip the downloadable archive, establish a wired connection between the router and a computer, and log into its administration page. Afterward, go to the Firmware Upgrade section, hit “Browse,” navigate and select the newly extracted firmware file, click “Upload,” and wait as the router applies the new firmware.

However, bear in mind that removing the Ethernet/power cable from either device, turning off the router or the computer, or interrupting this process in any way can lead to serious malfunctions.

Therefore, download ASUS DSL-AC68 Firmware 3.0.0.4.380.7361, apply it to your wireless unit and enjoy the changes brought by this new update. Also, constantly check our website to be up to speed with the latest releases.
