Officers were called to the home in the 1600 block of West 26th Street shortly before 10:30 p.m. when someone called to report a possible murder in progress in the home’s backyard, the San Bernardino Police Department stated in a news release.

When officers arrived, they found a man down in the backyard with another man, who was nude, nearby, the news released stated.

The nude man, identified as 29-year-old Marvin Ramirez of Covina, was taken into custody without incident after initially ignoring the officer’s commands, according to the Police Department.

The victim, a resident of Studio City, had suffered significant trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene, the Police Department stated.

The victim’s identity was being withheld pending the notification of family members.

The cause of death was under investigation.

Anyone with information was asked to call investigators at 909-384-5630 or 909-384-5615.
