iPhone 8 Might Be Offered in New “Blush Gold” Color

The closer we get to the September 12 launch of the new iPhone 8, the more rumors reach the web, and the latest indicates the device would be offered in 3 different colors, including one that’s completely new.

Benjamin Geskin, whose leaks have so far pointed to several new features coming to the iPhone 8, has just published a photo revealing what he claims to be the SIM trays that the anniversary iPhone would use.

And while at first glance this is just a boring leak before there’s nothing too exciting here, the SIM trays actually reveal the colors of the iPhone, as the trays themselves are painted in the same colors as the phones.

Furthermore, Geskin says the iPhone 8 will be available in 3 different colors, namely silver, black, and what he calls “Blush Gold,” a new variation of gold that has been referred to by other as “copper gold.” A comparison photo that he posted shows the differences between Blush Gold, Rose Gold, and Gold, with the last two said to no longer be offered on the iPhone.

Blush Gold only on top iPhone 8?

Rumor has it that the new gold tint could only be offered on the top-of-the-range iPhone 8 coming with 512GB storage, while the other two would be available on both the 64GB and 256GB versions.

The top iPhone 8, however, will also be the most expensive, and analyst estimates point to a price of $1,199 for this particular configuration.

The iPhone 8 will be presented on September 12 during Apple’s press conference at the Apple Park, while pre-orders are likely to begin on September 15 (the next Friday). If Apple sticks to its traditional release schedule for the iPhone, then the iPhone 8 could hit the shelves one week later on September 22.

Geskin says UK carriers have already been informed to prepare for the September 22 launch day of the iPhone 8, despite rumors pointing to possible delay for this particular model.
