Joe Carnahan has finished his screenplay for ‘Uncharted’

It looks like Joe Carnahan has finished up with his screenplay for the Uncharted movie. The filmmaker posted an image to his Instagram page along with the following comment…

Done and Dusted. Now the REAL work begins. If there’s a more monstrously cool action script in Hollywood right now, I wanna read it, ‘cuz this thing is a BEAST.

He also shared the splash cover for the script too.

Uncharted is of course based on the hit video game series which follows the adventures of treasure hunter and fortune seeker Nathan Drake, also known as Nate, as he often clashes with various other hunters and thieves. Drake serves as the main protagonist and playable character throughout the games, often being joined by several allies including his old mentor Victor Sullivan and love interests Elena Fisher and Chloe Frazer.

No idea as to how much the similar plot-wise the screenplay will be, but we’re kind of amped to see what Carnahan has done with it. The filmmaker will not direct the film as he’s off to do Bad Boys For Life, the third Bad Boys film next. That one should kick off shooting very soon. There’s not a director attached as yet.

More news on the Uncharted movie as we get it.
