‘Jurassic World 2’ adds ‘The Get Down’ star Justice Smith

Justice Smith, who is best known for his work on Netflix’s The Get Down and last year’s Paper Towns has joined the cast of Jurassic World 2. The film will head into production next year for a summer 2018 release. The Hollywood Reporter broke news on the casting.

Smith will join Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Toby Jones and Rafe Spall in the J.A. Bayona sequel, which is written by Derek Connolly and Colin Trevorrow. BD Wong may return for the film too, which we reported on earlier this week.

In related news, it looks like Bryce Dallas Howard’s character me be getting rid of those high-heels for good, judging by what Trevorrow posted on his Twitter just yesterday.

Still no plot details as yet, but the film heads to London and Hawaii for its shoot in February with a release date being eyed for JUly 22nd, 2018.

Frank Marshall and Steven Spielberg will produce.
