Land Rover Celebrates 50 Years Of The Range Rover
“I’ll be traveling to my fight with Kubrat Pulev in London on 20 June in my new personalized Range Rover SVAutobiography and I can’t think of a better way to arrive. Nothing can match its combination of comfort and capability – I guess that’s what you get after five decades of experience.”
This June will mark the 50th anniversary of the original two-door Range Rover that launched in 1970. It was the first SUV equipped with safety technology we now take for granted such as anti-lock brakes, electronic traction control, and automatic electronic air suspension.
Since then, the Range Rover family has expanded with the introduction of the Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Evoque and Range Rover Velar. Looking ahead, spy shots have shown that Land Rover is already testing the next-generation Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, which are expected to launch within the next couple of years.
