Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Tablet Gets Its May 2017 Firmware Update – Download Now

Microsoft has made available the download links for its May 2017 cumulative firmware and driver packages developed for Surface Pro 4 devices, which will install several new driver versions on this tablet.

Specifically speaking, this update installs 103.1684.256.0 Surface Embedded Controller Firmware that improves battery life during sleep, as well as a new Intel Precise Touch Device driver (1.2.0.83) that enhances stability and disables the touch when the cover is closed.

In addition to that, the producer has also decided to apply Surface Integration 1.0.121.0 to adjust system Hibernation defaults, as well as Surface Touch 57.1.1.1 and Surface Touch Servicing ML 1.0.724.0 versions to optimize touch functionality.

Last but not least, the present release will refine brightness settings via a new Surface UEFI update (106.1624.768.0) and fix the screen brightness issue encountered when coming out of sleep thanks to the 103.1610.256.0 Surface System Aggregator version.

In terms of installation, save and unzip the downloadable archive on your Surface unit, install all drivers included, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete and successful installation.

Still, don’t forget that this package is only compatible with Microsoft’s Windows 10 platform. Also, after applying the present release, it would be a good idea to reboot your tablet manually (if not requested automatically), to ensure all changes take effect properly.

With this in mind, download Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Firmware May 25, 2017, install it, and check our website as often as possible, as we’ll keep you posted when a newer update is available.

If you choose Windows Update, however, you’ll have to wait in line for your Surface unit to receive the May 2017 package. Through this service, all updates are provided to all customers in stages; thus, you might not receive it right now.
