Nissan Frontier And Pathfinder Lead The 2021 Sales Charge
Nissan’s US sales numbers are in and the Japanese manufacturer experienced a successful year shifting 977,639 units. Partly thanks to the introduction of new models such as the Nissan Frontier, this reflects an 8.7% increase compared to the previous year.
Looking at Q4 in isolation, however, the company was not as strong with a final result of 194,983 units. That’s a 19.8% decrease over the same period in 2020.
In Q4 2021, the Frontier saw an uptake of 114.4% with 22,634 units sold while the Pathfinder complemented this with a final sales figure of 12,439, that’s 12.5% up from 2020. Interestingly, the subcompact Nissan Kicks was also a strong seller for the brand with 18,225 units finding new homes, a 12.4% increase over the same period in 2020.
