Offseason Move: Dodgers’ Adrian Gonzalez Snags Lavish Estate

If you were wondering what Los Angeles Dodgers slugger Adrian Gonzalez was up to during the offseason, he was making a multimillion-dollar real estate transaction like a boss.

The five-time All-Star snagged a $6.3 million Rancho Santa Fe estate with the soul of an Italian villa. The extravagant Tuscany-style mansion in Gonzalez’s hometown of San Diego sits on more than two acres. According to the The Los Angeles Times, the home once belonged to former MLB star Bret Boone.

The compound features eight bedrooms, eight full bathrooms and four half bathrooms in more than 12,500 square feet of living space, according to the listing. The open-floor plan features timber beamed ceilings, four fireplaces, a gym, his and hers offices, a gourmet chef’s kitchen, a game room and a theater with a 10-foot screen. Outdoors, there’s a pool and spa, tennis court, huge lawns and a detached one-bedroom, one-bathroom guest house. Nina Wells of Keller Williams Realty was the listing agent.

With earnings of $21.4 million in 2016 alone, Forbes lists 34-year-old Gonzalez as No. 93 in its roster of the world’s highest-paid athletes. Take a look at his new digs:
