Pursuit Driver Ditches Vehicle, Runs Into LA River Wash



A driver ditched his vehicle and ran into the LA River wash on Monday, Oct. 31, 2016.

A driver wanted for reckless driving and speeding was arrested after he ditched his vehicle and ran into the Los Angeles River wash Monday night in Universal City.

The pursuit started at around 11:15 p.m. on the northbound 101 Freeway near Fountain Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol. 

The driver ditched his vehicle on Lankershim Boulevard and ran into the Los Angeles River wash. Three passengers were also detained.

He was arrested approximately 30 minutes later in the wash, according to the CHP.

No one was injured in the pursuit.
