Shonda Rhimes & Eric Dane’s Twitter War Over Donald Trump Comments — See Tweets
Prepare to be confused. Shonda Rhimes and former ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ star Eric Dane got into a very awkward Twitter battle over the vile comments Donald Trump made on a recently released hot mic ‘Access Hollywood’ tape from 2005. The weird thing about the fight, they both agree the comments Donald made were wrong. Huh?
Ever since the tape was leaked on Oct. 7, celebrities have been coming out on social media to condemn Donald Trump, 70, for the disgusting comments he made back in Sept. 2005 about women with then-Access Hollywood co-host Billy Bush during an appearance on the show. Among those celebrities was Shonda Rhimes, 46. “Men, stop with ‘we have wives, daughters’ as reason not to condone his actions,” she tweeted on Oct. 7. “You don’t condone his acts becuz you know right from wrong.” Amen, Shonda!
Now, Eric Dane, 43, who played Dr. Mark Sloan on everyone’s fave Shonda show, Grey’s Anatomy, until 2012, also tweeted a negative response to Donald’s comments. But strangely, it was also a dig at Shonda’s remark. “How bout this – f**k @realDonaldTrump and I could give no fux about @shondarhimes opinion,” Eric wrote. “My wife and 2 girls. He needs to b btch slapped.” Wait, what? Way to start a heated battle with someone who agrees with you.

Shonda was right there with us, just as confused, responding with, “um?” The Last Ship star, husband of Rebecca Gayheart and father to their two little girls, attempted to explain his comments in his following tweets. “Settle down people I luv @shondarhimes But @realDonaldTrump? Cmon folks, are you crazy? Are you really supporting this a***? Wake the fuk up,” he wrote. Okay, we’re sorry, first he gave “no fux” about her opinion and now he “luvs” her? So confused over here!
“Don’t be confused… it all makes sense to me,” Eric then tweeted. That doesn’t help Eric! We have no idea what to make of all of this, except to be glad that they at least seem to be on the same page in agreeing people should condemn Donald’s remarks because they are horrific things to say about women, not just because they have wives and daughters. Maybe they just got their wires crossed, but their hearts were in the right place.
