Southern California storm continues to pounds area with heavy rain

A storm system is moving through Southern California, bringing heavy rains, the potential for flooding and winds in some areas.
The heavy rains could impact the commute for many people heading to work in the Southland, as the storm will drench the area for much of the morning.

Cooler air from the north will drop temperatures and dry things up for most areas by late Friday morning or early afternoon.

Los Angeles and Orange counties should have showers throughout the morning, along with highs in the upper 50s. The sun is expected to reappear by the weekend.
