This Fake Porsche 911 GT3 RS Is Really A Boxster
Lucas says this is essentially a body conversion, meaning all of the body panels have been replaced with the exception of the doors. He even swapped out the lights and glass for real 991 911 components. At the mechanical level, he added BC coilovers and air components for a lifted front end, a feature from the real 911 GT3 RS allowing for a pain-free experience going over speed bumps, and larger front brakes for the 20-inch alloys. Parts for the rear are on order.
Behind the driver and passenger seat lies the stock 2.7-liter flat-six rated at 236 horsepower and paired to a five-speed manual. It’s a far cry from the GT3 RS’s rear-mounted 490-hp 4.0-liter (later upgraded to 493 hp) but that’s not the point.
