Two Men Sought in String of Fullerton Burglaries

Police are searching for two men who they believe stole from a car and a home before stealing a truck in Fullerton early Saturday.

Fullerton police said one of the men was seen trying to open car doors in the 3000 block of Greenview Place around 5:30 a.m., and stole tools and other personal items from an unlocked car.

“Around the same time,” someone broke into a garage of a home located in the 2700 block of Medford Place and stole a gun safe that contained multiple firearms, Fullerton police said in a statement.

Just after the garage was burglarized, a truck was stolen from a home in the same block of Medford Place. Police noted they found items from the back of the stolen truck near the resident’s home later on Saturday.

One of the thieves was described as being 30 to 40 years old with a goatee, wearing a white or light colored shirt, a light colored baseball cap, with black pants and shoes, Fullerton police noted.

The investigation was ongoing.

The Fullerton Police Department asked residents who live in the area to check their home surveillance systems. Anyone with information was asked to call Sgt. Hamel of the Fullerton Police Property Crimes Unit at 714-738-5336.
